[ 54th consult; action ]

[ James Wilson is, by a rule, not generally the kind of person you would be inclined to call lucky. So it is that he winds up being cursed every now and again, and today is just one of those lucky days for him. He's made a few stops himself, sitting down and finding himself having a typical first-date conversation. (Almost luckily, he has a formula for such conversations.)

By now, a day of impromptu dating has worn on him and it's time to grab a bite to eat. As such, he has a sandwich, and he's seated at a small, inviting 2-person table, in a friendly cafe just off the square. Should anyone feel so inclined, they would be most welcome to join him. Really. He has no choice but to feel that way. ]

[ooc: As it says, open to anyone~ ]

Oncology.

[Her eyes narrow thoughtfully until she remembers how she knows what that is. Her mom.]

That has to do with tumors, right? So you work at the hospital here in the City?

[For a few moments Dawn is lost in her own thoughts, nodding and looking down to the top of the table until he asks her a question about something else. She looks back up, the corners of her lips tugging into a small smile and that energy that put a person back in the here and now sparking in her eyes.]

I work at City Solutions. Tony Stark's secretary -- which I know is nothing compared to helping people but believe me when I say that Mr. Stark needs all the help he can get.

Yeah but you -- I mean you have the ability to save lives. That's -- really amazing. Even when it doesn't always work out, you tried.

[Which she realized the same could be said of the scooby gang, her second job here and her first job back home. They stopped apocalypses and saved people -- or tried to.

Her chin lifts a little at that realization and she even sits up a little straighter.
