Feb. 27th, 2011 01:59 pmI feel like I should prepare a form letter for each time this happens. I'm fairly certain that I'm repeating myself each time around already.
Well, at any rate; either welcome or welcome back to the City, as applicable. If anyone out there wants to say hello, feel free. There have certainly been a number of negative experiences on days like this, but I think they're far outweighed by the chance to see people we may not have for some time.
As for those of us who are usually here, perhaps it wouldn't hurt to not be so accusatory to the visitors? I'll give you that some of them certainly seem to display distressingly extensive knowledge regarding both us and the City, but I'd say that there are far more of them who seem to have had exactly as much control over their arrivals as we did. Besides, preemptive hostility doesn't generally encourage much in the way of positive interaction.
