[ 67th consult | video | backdated to late morning/early afternoon ]

[Wilson is sitting in a lab at the hospital. The room is still partially grayscale, with somewhat desaturated spots of color seeping in around the corners, near the doorway, not quite reaching the area where he's sitting. There's a microscope near his seat, as you might expect when an oncologist is examining a biopsy sample.

However, there's also a flask of clear liquid notably closer to him than any others; it doesn't quite match any other flasks in the lab, and its position draws attention. He pushes it away, hard enough to jostle the liquid, but not to cause a spill. As he does, a tint of a deep blue-purple creeps outward from him. He glances at the device.]

I'm certain they could have found a less intrusive way to inspire emotional response. I can't be surprised they opted not to, of course, but... well.

[He purses his lips in annoyance, punctuating his hesitation with a slight tilt of his head.]

They could have.

[He reaches out and turns the device off.]

[ooc: So somebody might be seeing snippets of some time where he may not have been an entirely loyal friend. ALSO spotty today, apologies for slow tags as... always... sob. I love you guys.]

I have to admit, the timing on this type of day coming around almost makes too much sense for the City. It's even almost comforting, given how regularly these occur... though, it might be too much to hope for that this beginning of a return to... well, I'll never be able to call it normalcy, but perhaps... more routine impossibilities?

Oh-- if you've just arrived, try not to take it personally if some of the populace is a bit... well, short with you. You could say it's been a long week.

[ooc: He's s3, but has some vague and ominous knowledge of his future. He can forget anything he needs to. <3 No duplicates plz! k ilu]

So I think the general aspects of all this have been covered pretty thoroughly on the Network. I hope that everyone is taking heed of what's been said and being careful. If there isn't a reason that you need to be out, then you shouldn't be. No matter what you've dealt with in your own worlds, or how strong, powerful or experienced you are, you have not dealt with anything like this before. It's the City; there are things here which are beyond anyone's control.

I'm not saying to sit back and do nothing; we need to protect each other, help each other, and work together to get through this. The people here, the way that we can always seem to come together when we need to - that's always been one of the things that's made being stuck here bearable. What I'm saying is don't go alone, and don't go unprepared. Things do seem as if they're a bit calmer outside today, but I wouldn't trust that to last.

Along that line, if anyone is injured, it should go without saying that the hospital is open through all this. Ambulances are running, so if you need one, call. The building is surprisingly safe; it's withstood plenty that I've seen here firsthand, and I can't even begin to imagine what it's seen before I was here.

For the record, that's where I am, and I'm not going out there I have no intention of leaving until it's either safe or necessary. And, please... anyone that I haven't heard from yet, check in and let me know where you are and that you're alright.

Everyone, stay safe and alert. We'll get through this.

[OOC: Cursed and it works with the plot. His horoscope says he's going to step up, be assertive and take control today.]

[ 53rd consult; video ]

[The device turns on when it's set down on a desk, in an office some right recognize as belonging to Dr. Wilson. It provides a decent view of a woman as she sinks into the chair. She's clearly tired; she yawns, rubbing her temples as she leans back.

Of course, this woman is Dr. Wilson, as many people who have been working at the hospital this weekend already know. He's wearing clothes borrowed from Cameron; not a perfect fit, but certainly a good deal better than his own.

Really, this whole thing might seem worse if he hadn't spent a handful of days prior experiencing random memory failures. He glances at the clock on his wall - 6:00 PM.]

Six hours.

[And then he sighs, leans back again, and closes his eyes. This hasn't been the worst weekend of his life; certainly not the worst weekend he's spent here, but it has been long, tiring and exceptionally awkward.]

[ooc: backdated, as stated in post, to 6:00 pm on Sunday! open to action if your character is at the hospital and would like to drop in <3

replies will come from [livejournal.com profile] jamie_wilson; apologies in advance as I will probably be slow]

I'm going home; there's clearly something wrong. It seems to be-- it's-- what are those? Well, it's not me-- it... it isn't isolated, I doubt it's an actual physiological issue. But... I should not be treating patients for as long as this lasts.

[The feed closes.]

4:20 PM:

[He's clearly exasperated that he has to ask this. And that he has to do it publicly. Shut up, he forgot how to filter and his phone is at home. Craziest thing - he forgot it.]

House, which building do we live in?
