dr_conscience: (I feel like a woman // Not *that* metro)

[ 53rd consult; video ]

[The device turns on when it's set down on a desk, in an office some right recognize as belonging to Dr. Wilson. It provides a decent view of a woman as she sinks into the chair. She's clearly tired; she yawns, rubbing her temples as she leans back.

Of course, this woman is Dr. Wilson, as many people who have been working at the hospital this weekend already know. He's wearing clothes borrowed from Cameron; not a perfect fit, but certainly a good deal better than his own.

Really, this whole thing might seem worse if he hadn't spent a handful of days prior experiencing random memory failures. He glances at the clock on his wall - 6:00 PM.]

Six hours.

[And then he sighs, leans back again, and closes his eyes. This hasn't been the worst weekend of his life; certainly not the worst weekend he's spent here, but it has been long, tiring and exceptionally awkward.]

[ooc: backdated, as stated in post, to 6:00 pm on Sunday! open to action if your character is at the hospital and would like to drop in <3

[Rudy Miller is a great many things, but a hoverer is not one of them; there are exactly two people in the multiverse for whom he might keep perpetual vigil at a hospital bedside, and neither of them are currently in residence in the City. And once the immediate concern of Mindy's well-being was somewhat alleviated by entrusting her over into the care of the hospital, more practical concerns quickly became his primary occupation--namely, getting out of his bloodstained clothes and finding more feasible alternatives for the immediate future.

Also, he doesn't hover. Not that there'd be any point in it, anyway, since his wide array of innate skills does not extend to the practice of medicine, and he doubts Mindy would be quick to request his presence for moral support, so the only thing he'd be doing by hovering is taking up space.

However, he does make it a point to keep informed about the well-being of the people that concern him, and that is what's currently on his mind as he walks into the hospital and heads off in search of information on their recent patient.]

[Rudy may not hover, but apparently he has rather fortuitous timing as Wilson turns a corner and sees him just as he's making his way back to Mindy to check in himself. The brief and overdue break was, of course, unsatisfactory, but that could be said of any break that winds up being broadcast on the Network.

He calls out to the visitor, guessing both that they're headed the same way and that he might be able to provide some information.]

Rudy?

Dr. Wilson.

[He pauses, greeting the hail with a nod of acknowledgment--though, as per Rudy's usual modus operandi, there is no smile to accompany that nod. Some things may change with the passage of time, but Rudy's deadpan never will.]

Bonsoir.

[Wilson's not in much of a mood to smile right now himself, but he does let a slight curl pull tightly at one corner of his mouth as he returns the nod.]

And a good evening to you. Come to check in on Mindy?
