I have to admit, the timing on this type of day coming around almost makes too much sense for the City. It's even almost comforting, given how regularly these occur... though, it might be too much to hope for that this beginning of a return to... well, I'll never be able to call it normalcy, but perhaps... more routine impossibilities?

Oh-- if you've just arrived, try not to take it personally if some of the populace is a bit... well, short with you. You could say it's been a long week.

Truly. I'm not sure what was up with my lack of judgment, but desperation makes people do stupid things. Probably isn't enough for me, you know. It still keeps me up at night.

Well, there aren't any yet in my world, but I figured I'd cover all my bases in other worlds too, just in case.

Well, I can certainly understand that. All of it. Worrying, wanting to find any way you can to deal with it...

If you ask me, though, no matter which way this goes, your child's going to be just fine, because their mother already cares this much about their wellbeing. If that one-in-four chance somehow beats the odds and wins out, that child's going to be very lucky to have you.
