Well, I think I'll spare everyone from harping on the school curse too much more... it could have been worse, it could have been better. It happened, it's over. I'm through with trying to analyze this place. At least I met a few good people through this one, who are certainly free to continue speaking to me if they want to. That's all I have to say about it.

Anyway, I have a few things I'm working on at the hospital, so I'll probably be putting in some extra hours there for a while.

This place is really starting to feel like home.

[ooc: Um... Wilson's obviously not through with trying to analyze this place, or anything, ever. He's just not going to be as open about it right now... mostly because he's taken note of the fact that House is analyzing the fact that the City subjects him to violence during curses, and he's going to just pretend not to care about the curses in an incredibly futile effort to discourage that.]

I certainly do. Aside from being drastically younger than I usually am, I didn't find myself affected too badly.

I did not think it was so terrible either. Do you still use the name James or...?

Certainly not. I'll admit, there were aspects of it I enjoyed.

I do; I went through with my plans to go into medicine, so the only difference is that I'm Dr. James Wilson now. But, really, feel free to call me by whatever name you like.

Doctor Wilson sounds more proper.

Well, whatever you prefer is fine. I certainly wouldn't be offended by James, though I guess I am used to Doctor Wilson these days.

So, what is it that you do when you're not cursed into being in high school, Caspian?

I used to work under a Captain and I apprenticed under a Senator, but these days I am mindful of my family, not much more.

Well, that certainly sounds like it was interesting, though family is always important.

Did you get to explore, then?

Around this world yes, but Captain Barbossa told tale of sailing towards the horizon and when the City disappeared behind you it would only reappear again in front of you.

How odd... not that it should really surprise me, with everything else I've seen here so far.

So this whole place is like a self-contained universe?

If by self-contained universe you mean we cannot sail or fly back to our homeworlds, yes. At the same time no one has yet charted the skies or scraped along the sea floor, it seems we are unable to travel that far.

Yes, exactly; that it doesn't seem to be connected to any of our homes... so, we're all essentially nowhere.

But we are somewhere and this here is connected to our theres, only in a way we can't see. Where I am from people of Earth came to Narnia through a wardrobe, or a chasm.

Well, yes, somehow... we all got here, though we can't seem to control when we come or go...

No... not particularly, but I have friends who do. I have not been Earth.

Well, still, I can't say I've met anyone from another world before winding up here. My life actually seems pretty boring by comparison to most of the City's residents.

Why would you say that? I think being a doctor is a noble profession.

Well, I'm not arguing with that, and my job certainly means a lot to me, but I don't see what about me would be interesting enough for the City to bother with dragging me in.

I think we are usually the last to see whatever it is that others may find interesting.
